Harry’s Table By Cipriani Makes Market Shopping Chic On New York’s Upper West Side
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin New Yorkers have never wanted for Italian specialties shops, but New Yorkers have never seen anything quite like the new Harry’s Table by Cipriani (hereafter HTC), outside of the stunning, long-lived PECK in Milan, and far more appealing than the touristy New York EATALY stores. In its breadth of space alone—28,000 square feet—HTC sets an unhurried pace, and, while sometime in the future it may be jammed, for the moment the eight-week-old market is a civilized pleasure to visit, shop in and eat at. HTC is located at ground level in the dwarfing, monolithic Two Waterline Square, near Lincoln Center, from which it currently draws most of its clientele. Since parking (outside of an expensive lot) is almost impossible, dropping by for those who do not live in the area will require you take a taxi or car service. The sprawling food market is the first by the Cipriani family, whose legendary history dates back to 1931, … [Read more...] about Harry’s Table By Cipriani Makes Market Shopping Chic On New York’s Upper West Side
YouTube Video Shorts See Giant Jump In Views In Past Year
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Anyone doubting that shorter is better, at least in terms of how social media is evolving the past couple of years, need only look at statistics measuring the booming popularity with the briefest bits of online video on the site known for endless hours of far longer material. Short-form king TikTok, of course, saw its popularity skyrocket during the pandemic, topping 1 billion users as older generations got into creating videos alongside their younger family members. TikTok’s success spawned copy-cat offerings from OG social-media platforms Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. Facebook is even overhauling its long-time Newsfeed to create a video-first experience that eschews the stories that were part of the user interface for years. The move to create a specialized place for shorter videos has certainly paid off for Alphabet-owned YouTube, which saw views of videos of less than 1 minute jump 135 percent between the … [Read more...] about YouTube Video Shorts See Giant Jump In Views In Past Year
This Hot New Vacation Spot Could Be Underwater Within 15 Years
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin ISLA HOLBOX, MEXICO - While the wind-roiled waters of the Gulf of Mexico lash the shores of this narrow island less than 100 yards away, barefoot construction workers trudge through puddles of mud and shin-deep standing waters left by recent rains to lay the foundation for much-needed road improvements. The workers' struggle to keep the slurry from immediately filling in the trenches they're digging could be just as futile as keeping this road open 10-15 years from now if worst-case scenario estimates about rising sea levels pan out. Road construction amid rain puddles on Isla Holbox, Mexico. (Credit: Eric Mack) The way things have been going with the latest projections, that's how soon it could be that this street is permanently under sea water rather than just temporarily swamped by torrential rains. The upgrades to the current grid of sandy streets used by the small island community's ubiquitous golf carts … [Read more...] about This Hot New Vacation Spot Could Be Underwater Within 15 Years
The New 2022 Guide To Survival Hustle Porn
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin It's summertime and you may want to relax, take it easy on the beach and mentally check out from work. Unfortunately, this is not the right time to power down. You need to take active, thoughtful control over your career or risk falling behind . With inflation over 9%, your paycheck and savings are devalued. It's like a tax that never goes away. Every day, they fall further behind. Whether you like it or not, you need to do something. You must figure out how to make yourself more valuable and earn more money. Unless you have an unlimited trust fund, there is a pressing need to ensure that you can, at the very least, keep up with inflation and all the rising costs. These Cars And SUVs Will Be Discontinued For 2023
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin If there are two words that can attract the attention of avid shoppers, it’s “clearance sale.” The auto industry traditionally celebrates each new model year in early fall, as shipments of shiny new models begin to reach dealerships. Though the industry’s ongoing supply and demand issues may limit a given dealer’s leftover stock as the 2022 model year comes to an end, crafty consumers should still be able to garner some great deals on vehicles that are being discontinued. Usually, models wind up on the corporate chopping block because of sharply declining sales, but some otherwise worthy rides wind up simply being victims of shifting consumer preferences. This year’s fleet of discontinued cars and SUVs ranges from the mild (the 98 horsepower Chevrolet Spark) to the wild (Acura’s NSX with 600 horses), but you’ll have to act fast if you want to drive one of these last-chance rides home before they’re all gone: Acura … [Read more...] about These Cars And SUVs Will Be Discontinued For 2023
Europe eyes Musk’s SpaceX to replace Russian rockets
- A + A PARIS (Aug 12): The European Space Agency (ESA) has begun preliminary technical discussions with Elon Musk's SpaceX that could lead to the temporary use of its launchers after the Ukraine conflict blocked Western access to Russia's Soyuz rockets. The private American competitor to Europe's Arianespace has emerged as a key contender to plug a temporary gap alongside Japan and India, but final decisions depend on the still unresolved timetable for Europe's delayed Ariane 6 rocket. "I would say there are two-and-a-half options that we're discussing. One is SpaceX, that is clear. Another one is possibly Japan," ESA director general Josef Aschbacher told Reuters. "Japan is waiting for the inaugural flight of its next generation rocket. Another option could be India," he added in an interview. "SpaceX I would say is the more operational of those and certainly one of the back-up launches we are looking at." Aschbacher said talks remained at an exploratory … [Read more...] about Europe eyes Musk’s SpaceX to replace Russian rockets

Mukesh Khanna's sexist comments on women prompted "Shaktimaan" comments. Actor Mukesh Khanna, best known for playing the role of “Shaktimaan” on a show of the same name, has drawn the internet’s ire for his recent distasteful comments on women. “ Koi bhi ladki agar kisi ladke ko kahe ‘I want to have sex with you’, wo ladki, ladki nahi hai, wo dhanda kar rahi hai. Kyunki is tarah ki nirlaj baatein koi sabhya samaj ki ladki kabhi nahi karegi. (If any girl tells a boy that she wants to have sex with him, then she is not a girl, she is running a sex racket. Because a decent girl of a civilised society will never say such things,” Khanna said in Hindi in a video uploaded on his YouTube channel Bheeshm International. In the video, he also talks about fake social media accounts that lure men with sex and send questionable photographs with the intention of blackmailing the recipient later for money.
