Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin The short answer is NO! This issue has been around for many years and seems to have resurfaced recently as we get closer to 2034. The definition of bankruptcy is the inability to pay outstanding debts or obligations. The key word here is inability. The Social Security program, as designed, has become antiquated and is being asked to do something it was simply not designed to do. When Social Security started in 1935 there were approximately 45 workers to every 1 beneficiary. That number has steadily fallen over the past 88 years. The growth in beneficiaries due to living longer and reduced contributing workers due to people having fewer children has brought the current number of workers to beneficiaries to 3 to 1. Current studies project that the system can operate as-is at a 3 to 1 ratio. By 2034, the ratio is expected to be 2 to 1. So, you can see that the decrease of contributing workers to … [Read more...] about Is Social Security Going To Go Bankrupt?

How Hard Should We Push Generative AI ChatGPT Into Spewing Hate Speech, Asks AI Ethics And AI Law
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Everyone has their breaking point. I suppose you could also say that everything has its breaking point. We know that humans for example can sometimes snap and utter remarks that they don’t necessarily mean to say. Likewise, you can at times get a device or machine to essentially snap, such as pushing your car too hard and it starts to falter or fly apart. Thus, the notion is that people or “everyone” likely has a breaking point, and similarly we can assert that objects and things, in general, also tend to have a breaking point. There could be quite sensible and vital reasons to ascertain where the breaking point exists. For example, you’ve undoubtedly seen those videos showcasing a car being put through its paces to identify what breaking points it has. Scientists and testers will ram a car into a brick wall to see how well the bumper and the structure of the vehicle can withstand the adverse action. Other tests … [Read more...] about How Hard Should We Push Generative AI ChatGPT Into Spewing Hate Speech, Asks AI Ethics And AI Law
Gaming in 2022: A year in review
People trying out different games at The Arena, Comic-Con, Bengaluru The year 2022 was a weird year for gaming. The industry continued to feel the lingering effects of the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic with slower hardware sales and major delays for upcoming AAA games. Here is a look at some of the gaming highlights of 2022. Thankfully, EA no longer holds the license to FIFA anymore. Read More Unfortunately, EA … [Read more...] about Gaming in 2022: A year in review

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin The art of beauty branding is exciting, challenging, and limitless. As an industry that continues to grow and evolve, the movements in the beauty space are constantly shifting. Everyday on social media, we are presented with new trends like double cleansing, buccal fat reduction, no-poo shampoo, cloud skin, filters in a bottle, and skin flooding. The list is remarkably endless. And for most beauty and wellness brands, this means finding innovative ways to stand out from all that noise. As a beauty and wellness contributor, my inbox is often flooded by hundreds of pitches. The lobby receptionist in my building has also started to refer to me as the tiny lady who gets dozens of sample packages everyday. My sister, who has begun to regard my bathroom as a mini Sephora, once asked: “How do you decide on which products to feature?” This curated list of beauty brands was a story I’ve had on the pipeline for months now. Cool is … [Read more...] about Cool Clean Beauty Brands To Know In 2023

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin If you’re a fan of the new ghost-hunting drama Lockwood and Co. on Neflix, I think it may be time to start being at least a little bit concerned about its potential season 2 renewal. For starters, no, Netflix has not announced anything official about Lockwood and Co. yet, either cancelation or renewal for season 2. But watching the show’s performance, I’m a bit concerned. Why? Well, there’s the obvious, that we have seen Netflix cancel countless YA shows in the past, with very few running the gauntlet to survive to a second or third season. On the surface, Lockwood and Co. is exactly the type of show that Netflix is prone to cancel, and as such it would have to perform pretty extraordinarily to get noticed. I fear it is not performing well enough. Lockwood and Co. debuted at a decent #2 in the top 10 list, but it never reached number one and is already starting to fall fast, currently down to #5 in the US after … [Read more...] about Everything We Know About ‘Lockwood And Co’ Season 2 On Netflix
