By The Canadian Press Wed., Jan. 23, 2019 TORONTO - Restaurant Brands International Inc. raised its dividend as it announced changes in its executive suite. The parent company of Tim Hortons, Burger King and Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen says it will pay a quarterly dividend of 50 cents per share, up from 45 cents. RBI also said Jose Cil, who has been president of Burger King, has been promoted to chief executive of the parent company. Josh Kobza, who was chief financial officer from 2013 through 2017 and chief technology and development officer in 2018, has been named chief operating officer. Daniel Schwartz, who had been RBI’s chief executive, will become executive chairman and co-chairman of the company’s board of directors. ‘Signs of recovery’ at Sage after year of change at the top
Software provider Sage has rebounded in 2019 as it focuses on subscriptions growth amid “signs of recovery” in its UK business. The FTSE 100 company pushed up sales 7.6pc after a year of executive change in 2018, which saw chief executive Steve Hare step up from the company's finance director post. The Newcastle-headquartered business increased revenues for the first three months of the year to £465m, while recurring revenues grew 10.5pc as subscriptions to its software rose by 28pc. Elon Musk announced a major shakeup in Tesla’s executive ranks on Friday, just hours after a bizarre interview left some investors rattled. In a Friday blog post on the electric-car company’s website, Musk announced Jerome Guillen, an eight-year veteran of the company, will now oversee all automotive operations, program management, and the company’s automotive supply chain. Kevin Kassekert and Felicia Mayo will lead the human-resources department, following the departure of former HR chief Gaby Toledano, who had been on leave since August. Chris Lister was promoted to VP of Gigafactory Operations and will be responsible for ramping up Model 3 production.
