In addition to Genpact, Peak's latest report, "State of AI 2022 ," revealed that 55% of enterprises will be AI-First by 2025. Yet, despite the clear advantages of AI integration, only 35% of c-suite executives have plans to implement it. Adani Short Sale Story Not A Problem For India’s Stock Market
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Adani Group, an Indian holding company that is heavily invested in the energy markets back home, is the latest target of emerging market short sellers. It’s problems, though, are not India’s problems. Investors should not consider this the Indian version of the “Evergrande” real estate default in China. In BlackRock’s BLK iShares MSCI India (INDA INDA ) exchange-traded fund, Adani’s companies, namely Adani Total Gas (1.1%), Adani Enterprises (1.08%), Adani Transmission (0.77%), Adani Green Energy (0.65%), Adani Ports (0.43%) and Adani Power (0.26%), all make up less than 4% of the fund. It is not a top holding in the Wisdom Tree India Earnings Fund (EPI). EPI and INDA have moved pretty much in lockstep over the last 12 months. Adani Enterprises, for example, is a runaway train. (Photo: dlxmdeia via Unsplash) In the last edition of Smart Growth, we had outlined the importance of social media marketing for an SME (small and medium enterprise), the starting point for which is a good plan. Plan slow and act fast should be the mantra here. Once the plan is decided, start the execution. Social media is changing by the day, so start small, and learn what works for your company and industry. In order to do so, first identify the right platforms for your business. Should you be using Facebook (FB), Instagram (Insta), Twitter (TW), or TikTok? If your target audience comprises millennials, you may think that they are not on TikTok or Instagram. Do not make such assumptions. Millennials are more than 35 years old today. Apparently, 41 percent of them only use FB, while 68 percent use Instagram and TikTok. On the other hand, if you … [Read more...] about Five simple social media tips to promote your SME business
Gautam Adani’s Middle Eastern Allies Help Him Shrug Off Fraud Allegations, Wealth Plunge
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Hours after Abu Dhabi and other investors salvaged the Adani Group’s latest stock offering, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu posed for photos with Indian billionaire Adani. It’s been a tough week for Gautam Adani. His fortune has fallen by some $36 billion since Jan. 24, when short seller Hindenburg Research published a 100-page report , which alleged his Adani Group has engaged in a years-long conspiracy of fraud and stock manipulation. The Adani Group has denied all wrongdoing and threatened legal action. But Adani has had something to smile about in the last 48 hours. On Monday, his group’s flagship business, Adani Enterprises Ltd., completed its previously announced $2.5 billion follow-on share offering with full subscription, defying some analysts’ expectations. Indore special: Jeera isi ka naam hai
Indori poha is a no-cook poha with lots of sev and a generous sprinkling of cumin-based Jeeravan spice mix. (Representational image: Shahbaz Ansari via Pexels) Lesser Morsels is an exploration of hidden gems from the great Indian kitchen. “Don’t forget Indori poha and dhania wale aloo,” said a friend as I left for a Children’s Literature Festival to Indore a few years ago. It reminded me of when my brother-in-law Mayank, who lives in Seattle, was craving Indori poha, and he and his wife Abha soon went in search of its magic ingredient – Jeeravan masala – to the Indian stores in Seattle. They were also rewarded with Ratlami sev, and Mayank’s craving was more than satisfied. Turns out the poha is not the thing. The hero is a generous sprinkling of Jeeravan masala. For the uninitiated, Indori poha is a no-cook poha (a Maharashtrian version is called dadpe pohe) elevated by the addition of Jeeravan (a spice mix that contains roasted jeera powder along with 20 odd spices) and … [Read more...] about Indore special: Jeera isi ka naam hai

Let ESG And RX Be Your Pivotal Business Imperatives
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Rachel is a Systemic-Change Coach & Executive Mentor; APAC CXM CGO, and DEI & Sustainability Champion at Dentsu. Henry Ford once said, "If it doesn't add value, it's waste." Surely, all that is consumed from our Earth to create a better life is not a waste. But when we selfishly waste it for profits, that is a crime—at least to the next generations. As a corporate achiever who has helped many multinational corporation (MNC) clients generate those profits for the last 25 years, let me—and my fellow boomers/Gen X leaders—say that we are so sorry to the next generations. We have come to a point of no return but a hopeful awakening and urgent intervention of quick systemic change toward a circular net-zero economy. It is, therefore, now a repenting responsibility for all business leaders to reframe value and participate in the making of the circular economy. With consumers' voices rising toward greener … [Read more...] about Let ESG And RX Be Your Pivotal Business Imperatives

Sort Your KPIs From Your OKRs: How Profit.co Is Helping More Businesses Hit Their Targets At Last
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Businesses the world over will be familiar with the frustration that comes with setting themselves a target and then falling short. The solution may be to focus less on KPIs and more on OKRs, management gurus argue. California-based Profit.co , which is today announcing an $11 million funding round, wants to help more organisations do exactly that. OKRs, for the uninitiated, are "objectives and key results"; they differ from the more-familiar "key performance indicators" (KPIs), in that they describe what the business wants to achieve and how it is making progress towards that goal. KPIs are static measurements – the monthly revenue that the company is generating, say. An OKR by contrast, sets an objective – to achieve a 20% revenue uplift over the next 12 months – as well as defining the key results necessary to get there – perhaps, i this case, the launch of a new product, an expansion into a new market, or … [Read more...] about Sort Your KPIs From Your OKRs: How Profit.co Is Helping More Businesses Hit Their Targets At Last
