The ferocious 29-year-old was named The Ring magazine’s new pound-for-pound number one last month after demolishing the great Filipino veteran Nonito Donaire inside two rounds to add the WBC bantamweight world title to his WBA and IBF belts. Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said, however, the number of deaths showed a 38.1% drop, with 13 cases compared with 21 cases in the previous week. “The number of recovered cases in ME 25 also showed a rise of 33.8%, namely from 10,524 to 14,078 cases,” he said in a statement on Monday (June 27). BANGKOK (The Nation/Asia News Network): The actual number of Covid-19 infections must be 10 times higher than reported by the Public Health Ministry as most patients develop mild symptoms, top virologist Yong Poovorawan (pic) said on Sunday (June 26). Thailand recorded 2,378 Covid-19 cases and 17 deaths on Sunday, according to the ministry. Dr Yong also pointed out that the number of children infected by Covid-19 has surged now that schools have reopened, triggering a spread among families. With children, he said, it was difficult to tell if they have the common flu or Covid-19. "We expect Covid-19 to spread quickly from this month and the number of infections to reach their peak between July and September," he said. American businessman and investor Martin Shkreli is putting up $100,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for the murder of Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich. Shkreli, former chief executive officer of Turing Pharmaceuticals and KaloBios Pharmaceuticals Inc., made the announcement via his Facebook page Friday. Rich, 27, was the voter expansion data director at the DNC, according to Roll Call , and had been employed for two years. Rich also worked on a computer application to help voters locate polling stations, and had just accepted a job with Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. According to Washington D.C. BepiColumbo—a joint mission by the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA)—flew past the closest planet to the Sun for the second time on June 23, 2022. As it did its three cameras were able to capture black-and-white images showing craters on the planet surface. However, the spacecraft closest approach was over the night-side of Mercury. During its close flyby BepiColumbo flew from the night-side to the day-side of the tiny planet, witnessing a sunrise over the planet’s crater-pocked surface. The timing was crucial for the quality of photography it was able to capture because that division between light and dark—the terminator—threw huge shadows across the dramatic terrain.
