How Real Time Location Systems Are Benefiting Healthcare Facilities

June 21, 2022 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin What are some of the benefits of using RTLS at a hospital or healthcare facility? originally appeared on Quora : the place to gain and share knowledge, empowering people to learn from others and better understand the world. Answer by Mohammed Smadi, CEO at PenguinIN Inc., on Quora : Real-time location systems (RTLS) provide location of people and things as they move in real-time. It is not hard to imagine some of the obvious use cases that can be of benefit in hospitals and healthcare settings. The “where is it” question is posed daily more than many nurses would like! It is typical to see nurses or other healthcare practitioners look for equipment whether they are wheelchairs, IV pumps or other equipment. Other than helping staff find equipment, apparently things disappear in hospitals. “Shrinkage” - as it is referred to in financial book - is a real problem in many hospitals. … [Read more...] about How Real Time Location Systems Are Benefiting Healthcare Facilities

New location, stunning new home for LG Art Center Seoul

June 26, 2022 by koreajoongangdaily.joins.com

LG Art Center Seoul in Magok, western Seoul, is designed by Japanese architect Tadao Ando. It will open on Oct. 13. [BAE JIN-HUN, LG ARTS CENTER] The LG Arts Center will reopen on Oct. 13 in a building designed by Japanese architect Tadao Ando. With a slightly modified name — LG Art Center Seoul — the center has twice as much space as in the GS Tower in Yeoksam-dong, southern Seoul. It has two theaters – a 1,335-seat multipurpose hall and a black box – as well as two rehearsal rooms and three function rooms to hold programs. But some fans of the old LG Arts Center aren’t happy with the fancy new digs. That’s because they are in Magok, a far western area of Seoul 10 minutes from Gimpo Airport. Fans of the old venue could make it to 7:30 p.m. or 8 p.m. performances on weeknights because it was right at Yeoksam Station, a busy business district. Now they will have to go to distant Magoknaru Station on line No. 9 and the Arex. Maybe they won't be able to attend the theater on … [Read more...] about New location, stunning new home for LG Art Center Seoul

June 22, 2022 by www.theedgemarkets.com

- A + A KUALA LUMPUR (June 22): The crude palm oil (CPO) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower for the sixth consecutive day on Wednesday (June 22) on subdued demand due to weak market sentiment. “(The benchmark) CPO plunged below RM4,500 a tonne today, the lowest for this year as bearish sentiment continues to grip the market. “Losses in the soya bean oil market during Asian hours also exacerbated the situation. The prospects of higher supply coming into the market continue to pressure the market,” palm oil trader David Ng told Bernama . He said the support level is now located at RM4,200 a tonne while resistance is at RM5,000 a tonne. Another dealer said concerns over the production season coupled with weak export figures for the first 20 days of this month also weighed on sentiment. At the close, the CPO futures contract for the spot month of July 2022 fell RM522 to RM4,688 a tonne, August 2022 decreased RM499 to RM4,566 a tonne, the … [Read more...] about CPO futures fall below RM4500 per tonne on June 22

TACLOBAN CITY –– A waterspout has damaged portions of the Daniel Z. Romualdez Airport in this city on Monday evening. An employee of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said the incident happened at 6:28 p.m. and lasted for five minutes. “The waterspout started at the ramp area of the airport, then moved towards the terminal building, which destroyed a portion of its ceiling and shattered its glass door,” said an employee assigned at the security office, who spoke on condition of anonymity for lack of authority to speak. “There were passengers at that time, but good thing none of them was hurt due to the waterspout,” he added. June 11, 2021 by newsinfo.inquirer.net

Stock photo / INQUIRER.net CEBU CITY –– Three suspected drug personalities were gunned down Thursday, June 10, in what police described as a shootout in the upland village of Taptap in this city. The Police’s Special Operations Unit recovered from the suspects 10 kilos of shabu (methamphetamine) worth around P68 million. Police said operatives conducted a drug bust in Barangay Campo 4, Talisay City, Cebu, where Lihbon Kerr Bargayo allegedly transacted with a policeman who acted as poseur-buyer. When Bargayo noticed he was transacting with a policeman, he fired shots at them and fled with two other companions using a car. The Highway Patrol Group-Central Visayas (HPG-7) led by Police Maj. Gideon Merza traced the location of the suspects in Barangay Taptap. Instead of yielding to the police, the suspects—Bargayo, Christopher Lim, and Boyet Rama—engaged authorities in a shootout. Brig. Gen. Remus Medina, chief of the Police Drug Enforcement Group, said they have … [Read more...] about 3 drug suspects gunned down in Cebu City shootout
