Why The Farfetch Of Lab Grown Diamond Jewelry Is Getting Physical
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin The Future Rocks , the online marketplace for lab grown diamond jewelry, launched in 2021. However, co-founder and CEO Anthony Tsang firmly believes that physical activations are key to its ongoing expansion. “Physical activations provide us with the opportunity to interact in person with our customers, to let them see, feel, sense and wear our jewelry. For many, it’s the first time they have seen lab-grown diamonds in person. Doing this, we can engage with our customers 360 degrees: online plus offline.” “Physical activations also enable us to further amplify our marketing and PR efforts as they generate awareness in a different kind of way,” he adds. “Going forward, this is a strategy which we will continue to pursue and refine.” Following launches in Japan and China in the second half of 2022, the platform solidified its footprint in the Japanese market in January with a pop-up at Tokyo's luxury department … [Read more...] about Why The Farfetch Of Lab Grown Diamond Jewelry Is Getting Physical

How Netflix Crackdown On Password Sharing Might Play Out
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Netflix NFLX has revealed what its planned crackdown on password sharing in 2023 could look like in the United States. The streamer published details about password plans implemented in several other countries on a U.S. help page (accidentally, at first) on Wednesday and said it would begin a similar program domestically by second quarter. Netflix has long claimed that password sharing, or allowing those outside the immediate family to use a password to access the streamer’s programming, has dramatically cut into its potential user base. Now, subscribers will need to pay a small fee to add a new user to their account. They will also be required to watch something once a month from home Wi-Fi to log a consistent home address, allowing Netflix to track where the passwords are being used. The streaming giant has predicted the changes could lead some users to cancel their service. That’s certainly one … [Read more...] about How Netflix Crackdown On Password Sharing Might Play Out

Here’s How Uber Shares Typically Trade After Earnings
Uber Technologies Inc. ( UBER ) is expected to report fourth-quarter 2022 earnings on 02/08/2023, and the market’s initial reaction could be volatile. Over the past 12 quarters, Uber's adjusted EPS has beat consensus expectations five times, but the stock rose the next day on only two of those occasions. Its average post-earnings move of +2.66%, masks a nearly 9% drop in May 2021 when it beat expectations and an 18.9% gain in August 2022 when it missed estimates by 400%. Clearly, an earnings beat or miss is not the sole basis for a stock moving higher or lower immediately after earnings are released. Many stocks end up losing ground despite an earnings beat due to other factors that disappoint investors, such as a poor outlook on future growth expectations, non-profit factors like DAUs (tech companies), load factors (airlines), etc. Similarly, unforeseen catalysts, like positive forward guidance or even oversold market conditions leading up to earnings can help a stock’s price … [Read more...] about Here’s How Uber Shares Typically Trade After Earnings

EBay Stock To Meet The Revenue Expectations In Q4
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin eBay (NASDAQ: EBAY) is scheduled to report its fiscal Q4 2022 results on Wednesday, February 22, 2023. We expect the stock to edge past the consensus estimates of earnings, while revenues will remain in line (just below) with the expectations. The company reported mixed results in the last quarter. Its top line declined by 5% y-o-y to $2.4 billion, mainly due to a decline in website traffic and weakness in international markets. Notably, the website traffic suffered in 2022 due to the normalizing of consumer behavior, in comparison to the levels seen during the Covid-19 pandemic. Further, the key metric - Gross Merchandise Volume decreased 11% y-o-y in Q3. We expect the same trend to follow in the fourth-quarter results. Our forecast indicates that eBay’s valuation is $51 per share, which is 2% above the current market price of around $50. EU’s Ban On Russian Diesel To Stoke Turmoil In Global Fuel Markets
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Gasoline prices are rising again – up more than 30 cents a gallon in the past month and around 15 cents in the last two weeks alone. Motorists should brace for more pain. One reason is that the global market for refined products is about to be upended by the latest European Union (EU) sanctions on Russia’s petroleum industry. On February 5, the EU will ban imports of Russian refined products like diesel, jet fuel, gasoline, and heating oil. While global oil markets have recently handled a similar ban on Russian crude imports quite well, these product sanctions could be far more disruptive. Markets for refined fuels are much more complex than for crude, with refineries configured to process certain types of feedstock crudes and to manufacture varying slates of products, depending on regional demand patterns. The issue for Europe is that it relies on Russia for about 40 percent of its refined product imports and … [Read more...] about EU’s Ban On Russian Diesel To Stoke Turmoil In Global Fuel Markets
