The recent Bloomberg Gender Equality Index finds that out of 484 large companies examined, only 41 have a woman CEO, and 50 have a woman chairperson. Overall, 32% of boards are occupied by women. “Over the last few years, we have seen an increase in diversity in management positions, however there is still work to be done,” says Sabah Cambrelen , workforce transformation partner with PwC . “For example, while we have seen an increase of women in management roles, women of color still remain significantly underrepresented.” Of the 26% of women in the C-suite, just five percent of those leaders are women of color, PwC data shows. Yale University President Pledges To Prioritize ‘Diversity’ When Filling High Ranking Roles

Yale University’s president promised to prioritize diversity while filling six high-ranking positions in the administration, according to student newspaper Yale Daily News. President Peter Salovey will make six appointments to high-level positions currently being held by interim or retiring faculty by the end of the spring 2023 semester, the News reported . He said that he will make diversity a priority when filling the positions, which include four cabinet positions as well as director and leadership titles. Florida Universities ‘Misreported’ Diversity, Equity And Inclusion Spending, DeSantis Admin Says

Florida universities “under-reported” how much taxpayer money is spent on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and Critical Race Theory (CRT) programming, according to Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ administration. Public universities outlined their line-by-line spending to comply with a December request by the Office of Policy and Budget to determine how much taxpayer money was allocated toward these initiatives. “Consequently, the Executive Office of the Governor is working to ensure that a full and truthful compilation of CRT- and DEI-related spending is gathered, and these efforts are ongoing,” Bryan Griffin, DeSantis’ press secretary, wrote in an email sent to the Daily Caller News Foundation.
