Disney buys star wars
Published July 01, 2018 Markets Motley Fool Facebook Twitter Comments Print Walt Disney's (NYSE: DIS) Solo: A Star Wars Story is now destined to go down as a flop and the first Star Wars film to lose money at the box office. Following the picture's disappointing performance, reports emerged that Disney had put the development of all Star Wars spin-off films temporarily on hold. Subsequent reports suggest that a complete halt for all of the franchise's side stories isn't in the cards, but it seems likely that the company is reconsidering the franchise trajectory following the recent bouts of negative feedback. Jason Guerrasio, provided by Published 10:17 am, Saturday, May 26, 2018 Disney/Lucafilm The latest “Star Wars” release, “Solo” (opening Friday), looks at not just a young and idealistic Han Solo as he begins his path to becoming one of the most infamous pilots in the galaxy. The ship’s main highlight in "Solo" happens when Lando teams with Han and Chewbacca and they use the ship to complete what will become one of the Falcon’s most legendary … [Read more...] about A creator of the original Millennium Falcon describes how the legendary ‘Star Wars’ ship was made with airplane scraps and lots of imagination
My girlfriend got me “Disney Infinity 3.0” for Christmas — specifically, the “Star Wars: Twilight of the Republic” starter pack for my Microsoft Xbox One games console. “Disney Infinity,” if you don’t know, is a video game that’s brilliantly addicting. Indeed, Disney believes that “Disney Infinity” will be a billion-dollar business before too long. And I fell for it. Hook, line, and sinker, taking me from “zero” to “collector” in less than 12 parsecs. The way “Disney Infinity” works, across video game consoles, smartphones, PCs, and even the Apple TV, is both simple and amazing. Place Darth Vader on the base, and Darth Vader he shall appear. Which is to say, the more you spend on … [Read more...] about This Disney video game is so addictive for ‘Star Wars’ fans, Disney thinks it will be a $1 billion business
