In its diesel format, and usually at least two decades old, Mercedes-Benz’s grand and grown-up motor car appears to win over its station wagon German rivals — the likes of Audi A6 Avant and BMW 5 Series Touring. These super fans all have young families and lead active lives, so abundant space is a key seller. They also want their cars to fuse function with a touch of old-school class and certainly not be showy. Which is one of the reasons I’m keen to try out the all-new Mercedes E-Class Estate. (Photo by Zahid Izzani Mohd Said/The Edge) - A + A KUALA LUMPUR (June 25): The projected consumption subsidy expenditure of RM77.3 billion so far for 2022 is the highest subsidy in history ever borne by any government, said the Ministry of Finance (MoF). Forget underwear thieves , 2 new crooks are on the loose in Chon Buri- cactus theives. But why would anyone steal the prickly plants? Because these ones are reportedly worth 80,000 baht. CCTV footage from last week shows that 2 men in masks cut through the net of a greenhouse in Sri Racha district, and stole 200 cactuses before they dashed away in their pickup truck. The cactus farmer, 37 year old Saroj Oransitthiphon, says the plants altogether are worth over 80,000 baht. Saroj told The Pattaya News that he has become depressed since his precious plants were taken from him. He says he spent lots of time tending to the growing plants. He hoped to use the income he earned from the cactuses to support his family in the midst of the economic crisis. He planned to report the incident to the Sri Racha Police Station.
