A 29-year-old transgender woman beat out a 13-year-old competitor to win a June 25 skateboarding contest in New York City, according to the competition’s results. Los Angeles-based Ricci Tres, a biological man who identifies as a female, beat out five biological females in “The Boardr Open at New York City Women’s FINALS Presented by DC,” according to the organization’s results . Tres won the women’s division of The Boardr’s open street skateboarding competition and a $500 prize. The transgender adult beat out 13-year-old Florida native Shiloh Catori, who came in second place and won $250 in prize money. The 29-year-old also competed against Juri Iikura, a 10-year-old who took fifth place in Friday’s competition. Four of the six finalists listed on The Boardr’s results page are under the age of 17. MANILA, June 28 (Xinhua): The Philippines' Davao City wants Chinese investors to take advantage of the bright business climate and the myriad business opportunities offered by the city, especially in the agriculture and manufacturing sectors. To attract more Chinese investors, April Marie Dayap, director of the Davao City Investment Promotion Center, told Xinhua that the southern Philippine city has offered preferential policies for investors to do business in sectors such as agriculture and food processing, manufacturing, and tourism. (CNN) Just days after the United States rolled out child-sized doses of Covid-19 vaccine for children younger than 5, the Biden administration has launched a new ad campaign to encourage parents to give their kids the "best protection" against Covid-19: a vaccine. In one video advertisement from the campaign , titled "Promise," parents are shown with their babies and toddlers -- cuddling and kissing them, holding their hands as they walk -- while text on the screen notes that "all kids 6 months and older can get a Covid vaccine." KUNMING, June 28 (Xinhua): Over 300 tonnes of raw coffee beans have recently left Pu'er City, southwest China's Yunnan Province, onboard a China-Laos Railway international cargo train. The goods were then transported to Europe via a China-Europe freight train after they arrived in Chongqing Municipality, southwest China. It was the first batch of coffee beans exported from Pu'er to Europe by rail. In the past, Pu'er's coffee beans were exported to Europe by road and sea. After the opening of the China-Laos Railway, 30 percent of logistics time can be saved by rail transport. As a landmark project of high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, the 1,035-km China-Laos Railway was launched in December 2021. Half a year into its operation, the railway has delivered more than 4 million tonnes of freight as of June 2. The transport volume of cross-border cargo came in at 647,000 tonnes during the period.
