Morgan Stanley's incumbent India head, Sanjay Shah, will be retiring (Representative image: Reuters) Morgan Stanley has named Arun Kohli as its new country head for India, CNBC TV-18 reported on January 30, citing an internal memo of the investment bank. Kohli will be replacing Sanjay Shah, who will be retiring from service. The latter was with Morgan Stanley since 1996 and rose through the ranks to become its India head in 2021. Kohli, also a veteran in the field of investment banking, is presently serving as Morgan Stanley's managing director and chief operating officer for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) regions. A snippet of Radhika Merchant’s performance on the song 'Ghar More Pardesiya' from the 2019 film Kalank has emerged on social media. For the kick-off to her pre-engagement festivities, Radhika Merchant chose an Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla lehenga in deep pink with floral embroidery and intricate mirror work. Daisy Rockwell American translator Daisy Rockwell aka @shreedaisy on Twitter, describes herself as a “literary type” and an “escaped academic” but is best known as the English translator of Geetanjali Shree’s Ret Samadhi , the first Hindi novel to win the International Booker Prize. She translates from Hindi as well as Urdu literature, and became an international celebrity soon after she and Shree won the International Booker Prize in May 2022 for Rockwell’s translation Tomb of Sand , published by Tilted Axis Press (the UK) and Penguin India. In the past, Rockwell has translated writers such as Krishna Sobti, Upendranath Ashk, Khadija Mastur, and Bhisham Sahni.
