Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin What Happened Over the last few months, traditional funds and asset issuers have launched programs to tokenize alternative assets via public crypto networks. Recent asset issuances have renewed interest in bringing real-world assets (RWAs) on-chain, and galvanized new opportunities for yield generation within decentralized finance (DeFi). Private-equity firm Hamilton Lane partnered with Securitize, a digital asset issuance platform, to tokenize a portion of its $2.1 billion flagship equity fund on the Polygon network. The fund requires a minimum investment of $20,000, far below the typical minimum buy-in of $5 million for private-equity investors. Hamilton Lane is one of the largest private-equity managers, having invested over $37 billion in private markets in 2021. It manages $824 billion of assets. Roblox shares soar as earnings defy gaming slowdown fears
Roblox shares soared 25 percent on Wednesday as the gaming platform popular with kids and teenagers topped quarterly bookings estimates after a focus on attracting wider audiences helped it defy a sector-wide slowdown from pandemic peaks. Its shares hit $44.18 and were on track for their best day in more than a year, adding about $5 billion to the company’s market valuation. Roblox – known for titles like heist game “Jailbreak” and role-play experience “MeepCity” – has tapped new markets and spruced up in-game features such as live concerts by partnering with artists including Elton John and David Guetta. The initiatives have given Roblox an edge over legacy video-game publishers Take-Two Interactive and Electronic Arts – both of which delivered dour forecasts as they struggled to attract users in a weak economy . “One of the main competitive advantages Roblox has over other platforms and media types is the broad range of content … there are titles compatible with nearly … [Read more...] about Roblox shares soar as earnings defy gaming slowdown fears

The abbot said that the monks tried to burn Luang Phu’s body, but it “wouldn’t burn.” So, they placed his body in a simple glass coffin. The CIO Playbook For Defying Data Gravity
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Your data glut is only going to grow, but you can make it work for you with an intentional multicloud strategy. Among the major concerns CIOs have shared with me in recent years has been the proliferation of applications and services across their complex IT environments . These captains of enterprise IT run startling amounts of critical business-critical software, not to mention intelligent infrastructure and cybersecurity tools and experimental apps across a mix of on-premises systems and various clouds. Increasingly, this includes multiple public cloud providers, the choice du jour . These uneasy CIOs told me that the more apps they poured onto these public cloud platforms, the greater the recurring costs. And as they stitched more cloud apps together, they found they needed to run many of them across multiple clouds , sometimes based on compliance requirements abroad. Aside from the monthly clouds bills … [Read more...] about The CIO Playbook For Defying Data Gravity

Crypto Jobs Look More Attractive In The Aftermath Of Banking Failures
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin The collapses of Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank have prompted people—in droves—to withdraw their savings from small and regional banks and deposit the funds into too-big-to-fail financial institutions and cryptocurrency investments.
