March 29, 2022 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Faced with too many job openings and not enough people to fill them, employers find it difficult to recruit top talent. August 5, 2022 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Two hundred years ago, Americans were anxiously shouting “the British are coming”. Well, they are coming again, but this time to provide freelance talent to U.S. corporates across the country. And it’s not just the British who are coming - platforms like YunoJuno.com , Distributed.com , Talmix.com , Underpinned.com and others. It’s also German freelance platforms like Vicoland.com and WorkGenius.com , French platforms like Beager.co m and Malt.com , Spanish platforms like Outvise.com , Australian platforms like Mash , Brazilian platforms like Ollo.is , and African platforms like Andela.com . But access to the world’s largest industrial market requires a deep understanding of US rules and regulations, and platforms and individual freelancers that don’t take the time to understand how to operate compliantly in the US are in trouble. August 8, 2022 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin You don’t have to put so much pressure on yourself when interviewing for a new job. There are only a few things that you need to say to stand out. The key is to show interest, in-depth knowledge about the company, why you are a great fit and the value you’ll bring to the organization. You’ll also need to close the deal by letting the interviewers know you’ll gladly accept the role if offered. Here’s The Inside Scoop Interviewers are more nervous than you are. August 8, 2022 by edition.cnn.com

(CNN) On July 1, a cable emerged from the Atlantic Ocean in Swakopmund, a small coastal city in western Namibia. Mostly known as a seaside resort, Swakopmund is used to visitors. But the giant ship out at sea, the string of buoys, and a fleet of smaller vessels manned by workers in hard hats and fluorescent bibs was an arrival of a different kind. Running for thousands of miles along the bottom of the sea, the cable's landing had been delayed for months by rough conditions and Covid-19 . But now here it was, a couple of inches wide and already covered in sand. A welcome party stood on the beach and posed for photos before the cable continued inland. Equiano had finally arrived. Patagonia CEO was right to call out corporate hypocrisy on climate change

August 6, 2022 by www.fastcompany.com

As the climate, tax, and healthcare package now known as the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 has made its way closer to passage than at any time previously thought possible in its 18-month existence, both the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Business Roundtable—a group of almost 200 CEOs from companies such as Apple, Walmart, and GM who back in 2019 pledged to address societal concerns alongside shareholder interests—have voiced opposition to it. advertisement advertisement The bill, though significantly pared back from previous iterations, still includes hundreds of billions in funding for climate and energy programs, making it a historic investment in addressing climate change.
