Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Cryptocurrency prices are in decline across the board. The wise guys with blue check marks in their Twitter bios, and agents that get investor gurus on the financial news shows, are all patting themselves on the back with “I told you so”. Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin January 27—the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau — was designated by the United Nations General Assembly as International Holocaust Remembrance Day. The UN urges us annually to honor the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust in Europe, and millions of other victims of Nazism in the 1930s and 40s, and to develop educational programs to help prevent future genocides. So to heed their call, here are a few of the important sites, museums and memorials that honor those who suffered in the Holocaust, one of the most unfathomable events in human history. Traveling to sites is the ultimate way to bear witness to the Holocaust, and I with that in mind I have traveled to camps, museums and memorials throughout the world. In 1965, 20 years after the concentration camps were liberated, I visited Dachau concentration camp outside of Munich. Germans who had lived through the war were walking by the … [Read more...] about In Honor Of International Holocaust Remembrance Day, Sites To ‘Never Forget’

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin As the U.S. Senate postpones its vote on the Build Back Better Act (BBBA) into next year, it’s becoming increasingly clear that lawmakers’ attempt to enact almost every major program proposed by President Biden on a temporary basis — rather than prioritize a few key programs or find enough revenue to sustainably finance all of his proposed programs permanently — threatens both the bill’s prospects for passage and the success of its core initiatives should the bill become law. The problem became clear last week in part thanks to a new estimate from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office, which suggested that the policies in the House-passed version of the BBBA would cost over $4.7 trillion between now and 2031 if none of them are allowed to expire before then. CBO’s … [Read more...] about ‘Temporary’ Programs Threaten The Success Of Build Back Better
