Representative image The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on August 10 issued the guidelines for medical examination of transgenders applying for pilot licence, stating that they would be evaluated on a "case-to-case" basis. The guidelines have been released in the aftermath of the row that erupted following the denial of licence to transgender pilot aspirant Adam Harry , who was declared "unfit" by the aviation sector regulator earlier this year. The DGCA, in its latest circular, said, "A transgender applicant's medical fitness shall be assessed on a 'case to case' basis following the principles of assessing their functional ability and risk of incapacitation while exercising the privileges of their respective licences/ratings." Last financial year, the company started offering brand solutions through which it earned $2 million in revenue. The company says it has doubled that in the first four-five months of FY23.
