Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin KIND Snacks founder Daniel Lubetzky has announced on Shark Tank that he’s investing in egg white protein snacks company Quevos through his own family office Equilibra. The deal reportedly involves a $200,000 investment, in addition to another $200,000 as a line of credit for a 10% stake in Quevos. Passersby walk by a Samsung Electronics retail shop in Seoul. [News1] Samsung Electronics reported a better-than-expected net profit last year on a one-off that balanced weakness in most businesses. Net profit rose by 39.5 percent on year to 55.7 trillion won in 2022, far exceeding the market consensus of 36.5 trillion won. Operating profit dropped by 16 percent to 43.4 trillion won, falling short of the market consensus of 46.3 trillion won. Sales hit an all-time high of 302.2 trillion won, up 8.09 percent on year, but coming in below the market expectation of 305.5 trillion won. The Challenge Facing Google’s Courageous New Pixel
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Google’s Pixel Tablet is set to be released this year - and an unveiling of the hardware at I/O 2023 in early summer feels the most opportune time. What do we know about the Tablet and how Google hopes to make it stand out in the world of Android tablets ? First up is the system on chip, and Google will be bringing the Tensor G2 chipset used in the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro . This sacrifices ultimate power to provide a better experience around machine learning and AI routines. Biden Admin May Cut Off Chinese Telecom Giant Over National Security Concerns
The Biden administration is moving toward cutting off major Chinese telecommunications company Huawei from U.S. suppliers, citing national security concerns, according to The Wall Street Journal. The administration is considering stopping Trump-era license grants allowing American companies to sell technology to Huawei that they don’t believe poses a national security risk, according to the WSJ. The potential move comes as the U.S. aims to counter Chinese commerce amid increased diplomatic tensions between the two nations. In 2019, the Trump Department of Commerce added Huawei to the department’s “Entity List,” a list of foreign companies considered national security threats, according to a department press release at the time. Huawei’s placement on the Entity List had an impact as the company failed to crack the top five handset phone providers in China in 2022, according to International Data Corp. The Biden State Department has built off of the previous … [Read more...] about Biden Admin May Cut Off Chinese Telecom Giant Over National Security Concerns
