July 22, 2015 by thethaiger.com

PHUKET: Krabi Police tapped in to a big-time prison drug network this week with the arrest of three major dealers in possession of 180,000 ya bah (methamphetamine) pills and more than 7 kilograms of ya ice (crystal methamphetamine), with a street value of about 40 million baht. As AI war rages, Korea seeks a place among giants

February 8, 2023 by koreajoongangdaily.joins.com

Google CEO Sundar Pichai [REUTERS/YONHAP] Amid the accelerated rivalry for artificial intelligence (AI) leadership between Microsoft and Google, Korea's tech companies are eyeing the non-English speaking countries with their capabilities in search engine and messenger services. Whereas the ChatGPT — a free chatbot system capable of generating conversational dialogue — displays a surprising level of sophistication in response to English language prompts, the Korean version of its service is lacking. And that might leave an opening for a niche market for local competitors. On Tuesday, Microsoft said that it will incorporate Open AI’s GPT technology into its Bing search engine. “This technology is going to reshape pretty much every software category that we know,” said Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. The updated version of Bing will have a conversational interface similar to ChatGPT. The goal is to have the unpopular search engine compete against Google. Light Field Lab Raises $50M To Bring SolidLight Holograms Into The Real World

February 8, 2023 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Once or twice a year I see something that really makes me go “wow.” Light Field Lab’s did it to me twice, first in 2021 , and just last week. During my last visit to Light Field Lab, I saw my first true digital hologram— it was as real as anything else in the room. Their SolidLight displays are a completely new method of creating 3D objects that appear to be real and placing them in the physical world. They look real to the eye, but are formed with nothing but light. No glasses are required to see them, which is why their SolidLight naked-eye holograms were named one of the Best Inventions of 2022 by TIME. The CEO of Light Field Lab, Jon Karafin, ushered me in to meet the newest member of the Light Field Lab team, the disembodied head of an Aztec-style deity which introduced itself as the “Creator of Light.” He wanted to talk about the formation of the universe, making me think our interaction was scripted, but when we … [Read more...] about Light Field Lab Raises $50M To Bring SolidLight Holograms Into The Real World
