Why More Brands Are Offering Halal Products
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Today marks the start of Ramadan 2023. There are an estimated 3.85 million practicing Muslims in America, and this number is growing rapidly. Pew Research Center data projects that the number will reach 8 million by 2050 , at which point Islam could emerge as the second-largest religion in the U.S. In Muslim culture, the month of Ramadan is a heightened spiritual time of year, during which people fast during the day and come together in spiritual community and to enjoy celebratory meals at night. Muslims consume products that are halal, which means they are free of certain ingredients, such as alcohol and pork, and that the meat is sourced and processed in a specific way. Globally, the halal market is expected to reach $3 trillion in 2023 . The halal label can apply not just to food, but also cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. The Technical Magic Of The XGIMI Horizon Pro 4K Projector
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Recently, I was able to get my hands on the XGIMI Horizon Pro 4K Projector from XGIMI—a company that has made itself a staple in the AV industry over the past few years. Milwaukee Bucks Patience With Joe Ingles Is Paying Off
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Joe Ingles, who had an uncertain start to his Milwaukee Bucks’ career, is beginning to repay the franchise for their trust and belief in him. Like his NBA career, his Bucks’ tenure began in a cloud of ambiguity. He signed a one-year, $6.5 million deal last summer, using the team’s entire taxpayer midlevel exception—the only tool they had available to bring in new talent (besides veteran minimum contracts). That was unusual because he was coming off a torn ACL he had suffered just five months earlier and neither party knew when he could return to the court. As the season got closer, it was evident Ingles’ recovery was progressing on a positive timeline—a massive relief for everyone involved. ACL recoveries can be tricky and sometimes linger longer than anyone would like. Fortunately, that wasn’t the case in this scenario. Ingles made his Bucks’ debut on December 19th after missing the team’s first 29 games. It was a … [Read more...] about Milwaukee Bucks Patience With Joe Ingles Is Paying Off
How simple sound and light are treating Alzheimer’s Disease
In 1906, a German psychiatrist and neuroanatomist performed an autopsy on the brain of a patient who displayed abnormal symptoms while alive. Over the course of several years, this woman’s behavior, as well as her speech and language, became erratic. She forgot who people were, became paranoid, and, as her condition worsened, suffered total memory loss. When her doctor dissected her brain, he found unusual plaques and neurofibrillary tangles in her cerebral cortex. He quickly alerted his colleagues of this “peculiar severe disease.” The doctor was Alois Alzheimer. More than a century later, the medical community is still trying to understand Alzheimer’s disease (AD), a neurodegenerative brain disorder. But early studies have demonstrated that we may be able to mitigate some of the damage created by AD simply by exposing people to certain waves of sound and light. This research is part of the growing discipline of neuroaesthetics, or the study of how the arts and … [Read more...] about How simple sound and light are treating Alzheimer’s Disease
Why A Verticals-Only Media Strategy Is Stunting Your Growth
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin The Principal of Bospar and one of Business Insider’s " 50 Best Public Relations People In The Tech Industry ." Public relations, advertising and marketing firms are always looking for good press. This is, of course, because they are always on the lookout for new business and (often) employees. The most common forms of self-promotion—including awards, op-eds and bylines (like this one), as well as social media channels—demonstrate our work chops and our thought leadership. As PR people, our mission is to never give up on media placements for clients, and we embody that way of thinking by being “politely pushy” ourselves. However, there’s one area where we always seem to fall short. Where We Miss The Boat The area we PR pros often miss is aggressively pitching a broader swath of media. Quite simply, PR firms and marketing agencies miss coverage opportunities because we tend to solely focus on securing … [Read more...] about Why A Verticals-Only Media Strategy Is Stunting Your Growth
