Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin With or without Aaron Rodgers, the folks in the desert didn't give the Green Bay Packers much of a chance to win the NFC North on 2023. Before it became clear that Rodgers’ time in Green Bay was over, Fanduel gave the Packers the third-best odds to win the division at +340. Now, with Rodgers expected to be playing for the New York Jets in 2023, Green Bay’s odds are at +410. What is fascinating, though, is Fanduel believes the Packers will finish last in the NFC North. The last time that happened was 2005, when Green Bay went 4-12. In fact, the Packers have been either first or second in the division 14 of the past 17 years and third just three times (2008, 2017, 2018). Fanduel currently has Detroit as the divisional frontrunner at +130. The Lions haven't won the NFC North since 1993. Minnesota, which won the division by four games in 2022, is picked for second at +310. Chicago, which had the worst record in the … [Read more...] about Oddsmakers Believe The Green Bay Packers Will Finish Last In The NFC North

Genesis Revisits Archival Performances On ‘BBC Broadcasts’
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin After a somewhat quiet start to the year, new archival rock and pop releases have popped up in the last months with some notable offerings from the likes of Genesis, Elton John, the Velvet Underground and more. Here’s the rundown: Genesis BBC Broadcasts (Rhino) Between 1970 and 1998, the BBC aired the music of Genesis exclusively as performance sessions and live concerts. BBC Broadcasts is essentially a Genesis career summary beginning with the Peter Gabriel/progressive rock incarnation of the group that is the focus of Disc 1 (including “Watcher of the Skies,” “The Musical Box” “Stagnation”); the rest the material concentrates on the hugely classic and successful Tony Banks-Mike Rutherford-Phil Collins lineup that elevated the … [Read more...] about Genesis Revisits Archival Performances On ‘BBC Broadcasts’

Built Robotics Unveils Autonomous Pile Driving Robot, Expediting Solar Rollout
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Built Robotics has introduced an autonomous pile driving robot that will help build utility-scale solar farms in a faster, safer, more cost-effective way, and make solar viable in even the most remote locations. Called the RPD 35, or Robotic Pile Driver 35, the robot can survey the site, determine the distribution of piles, drive piles, and inspect them at a rate of up to 300 piles per day with a two-person crew. Traditional methods today typically can complete around 100 piles per day using manual labor. The RPD 35 was unveiled today at CONEXPO-CON/AGG in Las Vegas, the largest construction trade show in North America and held every three years. The 2022 Inflation Reduction Act “Building a Clean Energy Economy” section includes a goal to install 950 million solar panels by 2030. With solar farms requiring tens of thousands of 12- to 16-foot-long piles installed eight feet deep with less than an inch tolerance, … [Read more...] about Built Robotics Unveils Autonomous Pile Driving Robot, Expediting Solar Rollout
From The Motor City To New York City: Detroit’s Young Designers Shine At New York Fashion Week

One group of creatives climbing those same ranks are up-and-coming fashion designers who traveled to New York last month for New York Fashion Week. While the designers possess the same talent and ingenuity as veterans in the industry, they’re teenagers. As part of a collaboration between New York-based retailer Maison Black and Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan’s (BGCSM) Fashion Industry Club , the young men’s designs were displayed at the Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy (LVMH) offices during the popular week. Detroit Native Tori Nichel, the founder and chief creative officer of Maison Black, hopes that this experience will continue to inspire them. “At sixteen, someone bet on me and really taught me the ins and outs of fashion design hands-on, and I … [Read more...] about From The Motor City To New York City: Detroit’s Young Designers Shine At New York Fashion Week
