KOTA KINABALU: Authorities have seized 900g of syabu, which was left in a boat following a chase in Menumbok waters on Monday (June 27). A Labuan Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) vessel was patrolling the area when they spotted a suspicious boat at around 12.30am. Labuan MMEA director Maritime Kpt Nudin Jusoh said when approached, the boat sped off towards Tanjung Klias. He said they searched the area and found an abandoned boat. “During a further inspection of the boat, we found the packed drugs with a value of about RM50,000. “The drugs and the boat had been taken to the Labuan maritime jetty for further investigations under the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952,” he said. Rosmah files bid to challenge Sri Ram’s appointment again
Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor (Photo by Zahid Izzani/The Edge filepix) - A + A KUALA LUMPUR (June 27): Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor has once again filed an application to challenge the appointment of Datuk Seri Gopal Sri Ram as senior deputy public prosecutor in her RM1.25 billion solar hybrid project corruption trial and to nullify the entire trial proceedings since 2018. Rosmah, 70, filed the judicial review application on June 24 through Messrs Akberdin & Co in the High Court (Appeal and Special Powers), naming the Attorney-General/Public Prosecutor, Government of Malaysia and Sri Ram as respondents. Rosmah, the wife of former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak had earlier filed a similar application at the Criminal High Court here. However, her application was dismissed by the High Court and her appeal against the court ruling was also rejected by the Court of Appeal and the Federal Court.
