Former Delta Force Operator Brian Gilligan Talks About Getting Shot By A Terrorist Disguised As A Woman
Former Delta Force operator Brian Gilligan had a crazy experience getting shot in war. I sat down with Gilligan, Bob Keller and Nate Dudley about their time in The Unit, and at one point of the conversation, we turned to the former commando talking about getting shot back in 2007 by a man disguised as a woman. “The men started dressing up as women because that’s what they do. They come up with the next best answer to beat the Americans,” Gilligan explained during the interview. Once he noticed the man had a little facial hair, it was too late and he got shot in two locations on his body. You can watch him break down the crazy situation below. As you can tell, war is absolute hell and the bad guys are hardly playing by any rules. As soon as we couldn’t search the women, the enemy started disguising themselves as women to try to kill Americans. If that doesn’t sum up what kind of scumbags the military is dealing with, I don’t know what will. Four corrupt … [Read more...] about Former Delta Force Operator Brian Gilligan Talks About Getting Shot By A Terrorist Disguised As A Woman
Five Reasons The Braves Won’t Repeat And Five Reasons They Will
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Baseball’s reigning World Champions are finding the road to repeating filled with potholes. The Atlanta Braves, for the second straight year, are struggling to stay afloat in a National League East they have won four years in a row. With Memorial Day weekend around the corner, the Braves have had more than their share of disappointments, including injuries, but also have reason to hope for better things soon. Here are five reasons they won’t become the first repeat world champions since the New York Yankees won three straight from 1998-2000: 1. No Freddie Freeman – After spending his entire 12-year career in Atlanta, the Face of the Franchise found himself without a job when the Braves traded four top prospects to the Oakland Athletics for fellow first baseman Matt Olson, an Atlanta native who’s younger and cheaper, in March. Freeman, 32, soon signed with the Dodgers (six years for $162 million), allowing him to … [Read more...] about Five Reasons The Braves Won’t Repeat And Five Reasons They Will
Record-breaking Puripol, 16, wins SEA Games sprint double
Thailand's Puripol Boonson celebrates winning gold in the men's 100m final at the 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) at My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi on May 18, 2022. (AFP photo) Thai teenager Puripol Boonson destroyed the opposition to win the men's 100m in 10.44secs at the SEA Games on Wednesday and grab a sprint double in Hanoi. Kayla Anise Richardson of the Philippines won the women's 100m to add to 200m bronze in the Vietnamese capital. But the night belonged to wonder kid Puripol, 16, who easily beat the rest of the field to silence the almost wholly local crowd at My Dinh stadium. "Before the competition I was under a lot of pressure... but I made it and I'm very glad," he told reporters. The teenager had already made headlines at the regional showpiece after twice breaking the Games record in the 200m, his best time of 20.37secs bringing gold. "My target for this year is that I will try to consistently improve my record and break my own record," Puripol … [Read more...] about Record-breaking Puripol, 16, wins SEA Games sprint double

Why the 9-to-5 schedule has lost its place in the workplace
The old adage that “time is money” goes way back. It’s typically credited to Benjamin Franklin, and it describes the long held belief that more time spent working equals more success. And that may have been true at one time, for some anyway. In the agricultural era, more time in the fields meant more crops getting planted or harvested (of course, that only worked for the owner of those crops or those being paid by the hour or bushel to work the fields, rather than slave labor or indentured servants). Even still, much agricultural work was unlikely to continue after sundown and it’s often seasonal, unlike what took root during the Industrial Revolution when a large part of the labor force moved from field to factory to work on a set daily schedule. advertisement advertisement As journalist Celeste Headlee, author of Do Nothing: How to Break Away from Overworking, Overdoing, and Underliving , put it: “Before the industrial age, time was measured in days … [Read more...] about Why the 9-to-5 schedule has lost its place in the workplace
Defining Athletic Success In The New ‘Transformation’ Era: A Challenge For Mid-Major Division I Schools
