India considers tax cut on soybean and sunflower oil to cool prices
- A + A NEW DELHI (May 24): India is considering cutting an import levy on soybean and sunflower oils, another step in a series of measures the country has taken to cool surging local prices of food. The government is deliberating whether to reduce the agriculture infrastructure and development cess, which is currently 5%, or abolish it, according to a person familiar with the matter. A final decision may be taken this week, said the person, who asked not to be identified as the information is private. A finance ministry spokesperson was not immediately available to comment. The extra levy is used by the government to collect funds for farm infrastructure projects. Meet Rashad And Troy, The Financial Powerhouses Of REVOLT’s Assets Over Liabilities

4 Ways White Supremacy Harms Humanity
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin It is important to first acknowledge the words of scholar and activist Angela Davis. In her book Freedom is a Constant Struggle , Davis wrote “the call for public conversations on race and racism is also a call to develop a vocabulary that permits us to have insightful conversations. If we attempt to use historically obsolete vocabularies, our consciousness of racism will remain shallow.” For the sake of this article, the term white supremacy will be used throughout the piece because it is the term with the greatest amount of familiarity. It should, however, be noted that some have urged us to move away from the term white supremacy because it implies that the group of people that are racialized as white are “superior” to other racialized groups. Some alternatives to the term white supremacy that have been suggested include the terms white perversion and white insecurity . In the future, the term white supremacy will … [Read more...] about 4 Ways White Supremacy Harms Humanity
