There’s a critical error conservatives are repeatedly making in their fight against Big Tech. A multi-front war has been opened by conservatives, who are fighting legally, economically and culturally against Big Tech censorship and regulation. Former President Donald Trump is suing Facebook, Twitter and Google, lawmakers are passing new bills to try and crack down on censorship and private businessmen are trying to create alternatives to the borderline-monopolies that exist in the social media space. Some of these tactics are more likely to work than others. Some legal experts have provided dim outlooks for Trump’s lawsuit or the kinds of laws being passed in Florida by Republicans, for instance. Oil prices fell about 1% in early trade on Wednesday, reversing gains from the previous session ahead of a meeting OPEC+ producers on fears of a slowdown in global growth hitting fuel demand and a firmer dollar. Brent crude futures fell 94 cents, or 0.9%, to $99.60 a barrel at 0020 GMT, wiping out the previous session's gain. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures were down 68 cents, or 0.7%, at $93.74 a barrel, after climbing 53 cents on Tuesday. The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and allies including Russia, together known as OPEC+, meet on Wednesday. OPEC+ sources told Reuters last week that the group will likely keep output unchanged in September, or raise it slightly. Roy Antony, a farmer from Wayanad in Kerala, is delighted that an arabica coffee plant variety he developed is being sought by the ruler of Abu Dhabi for planting in his farmhouse. Named Roys Selection, his coffee plant has become a big draw in the last few years as news of its utility as an inter-crop in rubber plantations spread among planters. “For the farmhouse in Abu Dhabi, they want 3,700 seven-year old arabica plants that have started bearing fruit for making their favourite coffee. There are no rubber plantations there but they are planning to create a cool atmosphere for the ideal growth of the plant," Antony told Moneycontrol. The farmhouse is sourcing coffee as well as other plants from different parts of the world.
