The brands TomboyX and Humankind will both bring queer-friendly, limited-edition options to Target’s shelves. LGBTQ+ people deserve a wider selection of underwear and swimsuits. Most clothing brands create underwear and swimwear in distinct “male” and “female” categories. For example, swimsuits are often limited to board shorts marketed to men, while bikinis or form-fitting one-pieces are marketed to women. The grand opening on May 13, 2022, included guests Bill Maher, Steven Gutenberg, and Harrelson dancing on a table to celebrate the evening. The dispensary was redesigned over two years by architect Thomas Schoos . The space is green and woodsy— true to its name—with trees on the interior, skylights, wooden displays, and an outdoor space that Harrelson hopes will be a consumption lounge in the near future.
