However, it will almost certainly not be visible to the naked eye—as once hoped— which makes some of the hype surrounding this comet seem unjustified . The photo above? It’s a layered composite image using long exposures. To the unaided—or even the aided—human eye the comet will look nothing like what you see in images on social media.
