Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin The Great Resignation has left millions of positions unfilled, as US workers continue to leave jobs in record numbers. Where is the change management that will turn the tide ? Employers are hungry for new ideas to help keep workers engaged, while reducing turnover. Despite current change management efforts, 55% of workers plan to seek new opportunities (according to Bankrate.com ). Job security and better pay are top concerns for employees. But those concerns are topped by family matters. So, evidently change management isn’t managing what matters. And that’s why workers are going to continue to make decisions that change the status quo. Americans are prioritizing flexible work arrangements (56 percent) and greater job security (47 percent), according to that Bankrate survey. Employers struggle to find the change management magic that can deliver on those concerns. Indeed, it is a delicate balance between what companies … [Read more...] about Why Change Management Doesn’t Work: Millions Are Still Leaving The Workforce—Should You?
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Many of the workplace trends of 2020 and 2021 will continue into 2022. Not only does the Omicron variant remind us that Covid-19 is not going away anytime soon, but our ideas about work are changing and, in some cases, permanently. But what if choosing to work remotely brings a degree of freedom but also comes at a cost? What if women (and others opting for remote work) sacrifice career opportunities in the process? The pandemic’s effect on working women It is worth briefly revisiting some of the ways the pandemic has taken a toll on working women , mothers … [Read more...] about Could The New Hybrid Workplace Turn Some Women Into Second-Class Employees?

Kathrin Jansen is one of those few who has made a mark in science and global healthcare. She initiated and led development of the world’s first vaccine for cervical cancer, Gardasil, and most recently, in her role at Pfizer, helped orchestrate the record-time creation of a Covid-19 vaccine. The secret behind her success is not only skill and laser focus, but a deep-rooted passion for healthcare and pharmaceuticals that stems from her childhood. Jansen grew up in Germany and vividly remembers standing in line for the polio and smallpox vaccines, an interest in the medical field and a growing passion for vaccines. She later developed Gardasil and contributed to the Prevnar 13 and Trumenba vaccines, and is currently Senior Vice-President and Head of Vaccine Research and Development at Pfizer—the … [Read more...] about How Pfizer’s Head Of Vaccine Development Made Covid-19 Vaccine In Record Time And Led A Large Team
