High net worth Indians (HNIs) are looking to secure their assets against possible loan defaults in the current economic climate are turning to newer tax havens as the government now receives data from Switzerland, reports The Economic Times.Malta, Dubai and Singapore have emerged as new favourites where Indians create 'family trusts' to which their assets are transferred to insulate against future litigation, the paper added. The Northern Coalfields Ltd (NCL) on December 13 projected a production target of 115 million tonnes by 2023-24, while planning to focus on offtake by railways, instead of roads, to meet environmental obligations.The Coal India subsidiary with the highest growth of 9 per cent transports 17 million tonnes of coal per annum by trucks."We will do away with road movement of coal to meet the green regulations toward sustainability.
