Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin One of the most important things on an economy flight (ideally ranking after safety but before the in-flight entertainment) is legroom and how much you'll get. Airlines refer to seat pitch rather than legroom When airlines measure legroom, they aren't really measuring legroom—what they measure is seat pitch instead—that is to say, the distance from the back of your seat to the distance of the back of the seat in the row in front or behind. It's the best guide to compare seats across airlines—as seats vary in padding and the way they recline. The global seat pitch standard is 31 inches (nearly 79 centimetres), but some airlines offer more. The best international airlines for legroom in economy Interjet, flying out of Mexico, used to offer the most legroom (34 inches), as reported by CNTraveler , but it went out of business during the pandemic. This now leaves these airlines on top: Japan … [Read more...] about The Best Airlines In The World For Legroom

Plaintiff Wins Roundup Weedkiller Appeal But Faces IRS Taxes
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin The California Court of Appeals has upheld a whopping verdict against Roundup. In 2018, jurors awarded $289 million to a man they say got cancer from Roundup weedkiller . Plaintiff Dewayne Johnson was awarded $39 million in compensatory damages, and $250 million in punitive damages. Later, the Judge reduced the $250 million punitive verdict to just under $40 million That left Mr. Johnson slated to collect $78.5 million, about half compensatory and half punitive damages. But Bayer, which now owns Roundup, appealed. The appeals court refused to reverse the decision, but it did slash the damages again. The court denied Monsanto/Bayer’s motion for a new trial on condition that Johnson accept a settlement of $10.2 million in compensatory damages, plus the same amount in punitive damages. The appeal is still a win for plaintiffs, and it may influence even more suits. There are already vast numbers of cases. Richard Branson Taps Into a 400,000-Year-Old Practice to Unleash His Best Ideas. You Can Too
Successful entrepreneurs who make a difference are, in effect, professional storytellers, says Richard Branson . The ability to craft a compelling story behind a product, service, company, or cause has long been one of Branson's great passions. Entrepreneurs who want to excite people and engage hearts and minds should follow Branson's advice--use stories to transfer your ideas to another person. "Storytelling is a great way to get your views across, highlight how you and your company are different than your competitors, and also to work out new ideas," Branson says . Branson doesn't just talk about the power of story to build brands. He uses an ancient, clever practice to build storytelling skills among his Virgin teams and to elicit the best ideas. On Necker, Branson's private island, he likes to end the day swapping stories around an elaborate fire pit. "Storytelling is as old as the campfire, and as young as a tweet," Branson wrote in 2015 about his campfire … [Read more...] about Richard Branson Taps Into a 400,000-Year-Old Practice to Unleash His Best Ideas.
