He hopes to return to the side "if things go in the right direction". However, Andrew Tye (Rajastan Royals) and the duo of Kane Richardson and Adam Zampa (both Royal Challengers Bangalore) withdrew as apprehension set in after a couple of weeks went by smoothly for the league being held in front of empty stands across nine venues. Alibaba’s sales beat estimates, eases fears of Covid’s economic fallout

May 26, 2022 by www.theedgemarkets.com

- A + A (May 26): Alibaba Group Holding Ltd’s quarterly revenue rose a better-than-expected 9%, reassuring investors trying to come to grips with the economic cost of sweeping lockdowns intended to eradicate Covid-19. But China’s e-commerce leader also refrained from offering its usual outlook for the year, underscoring the unpredictable impact of a Covid Zero policy that’s already cast the country’s supply chains into disarray and hammered consumer sentiment. Alibaba — a barometer for Chinese consumer sentiment because of its dominance of Asia’s largest retail arena — is grappling with intensifying competition and mounting economic uncertainty at home. This week, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang warned of dire consequences if officials didn’t move decisively to safeguard the economy. Alibaba will play its part in helping shore up the economy, Chief Executive Officer Daniel Zhang told analysts on a post-earnings conference call. The company’s own revenues had slid by a … [Read more...] about Alibaba’s sales beat estimates, eases fears of Covid’s economic fallout

April 12, 2012 by www.inc.com

Ironically, this is especially true in a difficult economy, when top talent is most needed. Managers too often assume that all-stars will find their company as exciting as they do. In a time of high unemployment, they figure awesome job candidates will be lining up outside their doors. Let’s kill this myth now.  Recruiting top - talent in a down economy is difficult and comes with its own set of unique challenges. How do I know?  Our firm decided that recruiting was so critical to the success of our portfolio companies that we built our own internal recruiting capability. On a daily basis, our team is conducting tailored searches for numerous positions within our portfolio companies. IPL 2021 | DC vs RCB: Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bangalore look to outsmart each other in ‘battle of equals’

April 27, 2021 by www.moneycontrol.com

Delhi Capitals (DC) captain Rishabh Pant during an 2021 IPL match (Image courtesy: Twitter/@IPL, BCCI) Seeing the loss in their previous game as a blip, Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will have to be at their best to beat a formidable Delhi Capitals (DC) unit in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in Ahmedabad on April 27. While RCB will have to shrug off their 69-runs thrashing at the hands of Chennai Super Kings in their last game and start afresh, Delhi’s confidence would be boosted by their thrilling ’Super Over’ win against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 25. Up against Delhi Capitals, RCB will need to address their middle-order woes, to return to winning ways, in what could be touted as a battle of equals. Thanet Phetsuwan from the Tourism Authority of Thailand says places like India, Australia, Singapore, and Malaysia are the target markets. “This strategic push for short-haul markets aims to create a quick win, attracting both repeat and first-time visitors all year round.
