Metro Manila logged most number of new COVID-19 cases — OCTA Research
MANILA, Philippines — Quezon City and Metro Manila led the list of cities and regions, respectively, with the most number of new COVID-19 cases recorded on Saturday, independent pandemic monitor OCTA Research said on Sunday. The Department of Health’s COVID-19 tracker on Saturday showed 777 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of active cases to 6,425. OCTA Research fellow Guido David, in a social media post, said that Quezon City accounted for 74 of the 353 new cases recorded in Metro Manila. The City of Manila had the second most number of new COVID-19 cases in Metro Manila with 52, followed by Makati City (39) and Pasig City (31).
