Vietnamese airlines offer promotions at VITM National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines and budget airline Jetstar Pacific will launch various promotional programmes at the Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM) 2019, which will take place from March 27-30. Vietnam Airlines on March 25 said it will present 4,000 promotional codes for visitors who purchase online tickets at the event. The carrier is set to offer discounts of up to 50 percent for domestic and 30 percent for international flights to Australia, Asian and European nations. Other promotions will be introduced at the event such as weekend sales, among others. Meanwhile, Jetstar Pacific will launch 11,000 cheap tickets for domestic and international flights. The prices will start at 11,000 VND (about 0.5 USD), excluding taxes and fees. Sunwell Solutions, with eight years experience in providing human resources solutions, aims to increase opportunities for outstanding Vietnamese engineers working at Japanese firms and develop relations between Japanese employers and Vietnamese employees. HDBank pre-tax profit increases by 65.7 per cent to $ 172.6 million An HDBank branch in HCM City. — Photo courtesy of HDBank The HCM City Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank (HDBank) has announced its results for the fourth quarter of last year and for the full financial year, achieving impressive growth and meeting ambitious targets. Its pre-tax profit surpassed the target approved at the annual general meeting early last year. Its return on equity and return on assets were 20.27 per cent and 1.58 per cent. HDBank’s non-performing loan ratio was tightly controlled at 0.97 per cent, the lowest level in the banking industry. In the fourth quarter, the lender achieved a consolidated pre-tax profit of over VND1.12 trillion (US$48.3 million), up 122.1 per cent year-on-year.
