White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre claimed that Biden has “restored independence” at the Department of Justice during a press conference Friday. “Does this episode undercut that argument that he would restore confidence? Because here we have in the headlines that he is now under investigation,” a reporter asked. “He’s restored independence in the Department of Justice. That’s what we’re doing here,” Jean-Pierre responded. “When we’re saying we’re gonna refer you to the Department of Justice that is restoring independence as it relates to issues like this. And that is important to the president.” (RELATED: ‘She Has Not Answered A Single Question’: CBS News Anchors Call Out KJP Over Biden Docs) “And it’s been consistent. 1700s Villa Offers A Peaceful Refuge Near The Medieval Town Of Todi, Italy
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin A peaceful life in the countryside. An orchard of 72 olive-producing trees. Construction that dates to 1700. These are among the charms of a stone villa being offered for sale in the hills near Todi in the Umbria region of central Italy. Yet the property is close to shopping and services. The center of the medieval hilltop town of Todi is about 7 kilometers or slightly more than 4 miles away, according to Cinzia Romanelli, chief executive and cofounder of Building Heritage. “Todi is a very quiet and secluded city because it holds no more than 15,000 to 20,000 people,” Romanelli says. “The administrative facilities are all conveniently located in the heart of the town while the ancillary services remain outside the town walls.” While it may be quiet, there’s still nightlife. “Most of Todi's nightclubs are located in the historic center or just outside,” she says, “where you will find pubs, lounges and wine bars.” … [Read more...] about 1700s Villa Offers A Peaceful Refuge Near The Medieval Town Of Todi, Italy

Ukraine President Volodymr Zelenskyy (Image: Reuters) Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wants to visit the United Nations to address a high-level meeting of the 193-member General Assembly on the eve of the first anniversary of Russia's Feb. 24 invasion of his country if the security situation permits, a senior Foreign Ministry official said Friday. First Deputy Foreign Minister Emine Dzhaparova cautioned in an interview with The Associated Press that many factors need to be in place for him to come, citing first and foremost the military situation on the ground and a warning from Ukraine's intelligence service that Russia is planning a very serious offensive in February. Our president would want to come, he has a will or intention to come, she said, but it's still a question if there will be a security situation that will allow him to come. If Zelenskyy does come to the U.N., it would be only his second trip outside Ukraine since the invasion. He made a surprise … [Read more...] about Ukraine’s leader wants to visit UN on invasion anniversary

There are 56 members in the Democratic caucus, so just it’s more diverse. So, do you not believe that the idea was to make a diversity statement by nominating [you]?” LISTEN: “Honestly, if it had been a … [Read more...] about ‘Always Makes Excuses’: Megyn Kelly Calls Out MSNBC Over Host Joy Reid’s ‘Racism’

Spotify Back Online After Brief Outage On Friday Night
(CTN NEWS) – On Friday, the audio streaming service Spotify experienced a brief outage that prevented tens of thousands of users from using it until the platform’s services appeared to resume. Over 30,000 reports of the outage have been made on DownDetector.com , with a notable increase in reports since just before 8PM ET. Although the player is the most crucial component, a status page for the company’s online API indicates a “small” partial outage affecting only that. This is consistent with what we’re witnessing. Just before 9 PM ET, the Spotify Status Twitter account tweeted , “We’re looking into it,” Then, at 11:16 PM ET, it followed up with a message saying, “Things are looking much better now.” There hasn’t been any evidence of a bigger cloud or routing issue that would have affected other services , unlike the previous time we noticed this kind of service-wide outage caused by a Google Cloud issue.
