Novosco wins £107m deal with Cambridge University Hospitals
Belfast-based IT innovator Novosco has agreed a seven year contract worth £107 million to manage IT infrastructure and support services for Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Moped rider airlifted to hospital with serious leg injuries after crash near Stevenage

Archant A moped rider was airlifted to hospital with serious leg injuries after a crash involving a car near Stevenage yesterday. Emergency personnel including an air ambluance crew were sent to Benington, a village east of Stevenage, shortly before 4.30pm after reports of a collision between a moped and a car in Town Lane. A police spokeswoman said the moped rider – who she described as a man in his 20s – was taken to hospital with what she called “serious leg injuries”. Police said a Yamaha YN 100 and black Volkswagen Golf were recovered. Now chief executive Mark Davies has announced action, with dialysis for those with kidney problems moving off the Colney site and into the community to make way for more beds. It came as he admitted the hospital was full and he said he would like to see more services moved from the main building closer to people’s homes. Picutre: GOOGLE MAPS GOOGLE MAPS A man is fighting for his life in hospital after a serious crash in Elmswell. Officers were called at around 5.04pm yesterday, May 10 to reports that a car had crashed into a ditch in Ashfield Road. Police say that the vehicle left the road and struck a tree, before setting alight. One unconscious driver was found at the scene. The man was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, where he has been in surgery overnight. The road was closed for roughly five hours while an investigation took place at the scene. It was reopened at 10.34pm last night.
