Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin It is only a matter of time now, a question of when, not if. After pouring in 48 points in Monday’s win over the Houston Rockets (after dropping 35 in the first game of a back-to-back), LeBron James needs just 316 points to pass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the NBA’s all-time scoring record. Kareem poured in 38,387 in his storied career, and LeBron now stands at 38,072. James, who turned 38 on Dec. 30, is averaging 29.7 points per game. Since his 38th birthday, he’s amped it up to 37 points per game while trying to lead the Lakers (20-24) toward the playoffs, or at least the Play-in Tournament. At the pace of 29.7 points per game, he needs 11 games to pass Kareem. That would mean he would break the mark on Feb. 7 against the Oklahoma City Thunder at Crypto.com Arena. If he is ahead of schedule, and closer to an average of 37 points per game, it could occur Feb. 4 in New Orleans against Zion Williamson and the … [Read more...] about When Will LeBron James Break Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s Scoring Record?

Who Is The NBA GOAT: Lebron James, Michael Jordan, Or Kareem?
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin As we approach Lebron James passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the NBA’s all time scoring leader, the question of who is the NBA’s Greatest of All Time (GOAT GOAT ) intensifies. Usually, the debate is whether it is Lebron or Michael but very few times does Kareem’s name enter the field. However, with Lebron about to pass Kareem’s record there will be more focus on Kareem’s accomplishments, besides his scoring milestone. So perhaps this becomes more of a 3-way conversation. Debating the GOAT is always lots of fun but first we have to define the criteria for determining the GOAT. Is it just NBA performance that include MVPs, Championships, All Pro Selection, All Star appearances, points scored, rebounds and assists? Does it include influence on the game of basketball outside the NBA, such as high school and college basketball. And should it include impact on the business of sport or even social activism. I would argue … [Read more...] about Who Is The NBA GOAT: Lebron James, Michael Jordan, Or Kareem?

A breach at LastPass has password lessons for us all
While many of us were unplugging from the internet to spend time with loved ones over the holidays, LastPass, the maker of a popular security program for managing digital passwords, delivered the most unwanted gift. It published details about a recent security breach in which cybercriminals had obtained copies of customers’ password vaults, potentially exposing millions of people’s online information.
