The Liaison Office, Beijing’s main body overseeing Hong Kong, sent invitations to commerce heads across the city in early June to seek their opinions on the challenges of operating in Hong Kong and mainland China, the people said. - A + A SHANGHAI (June 24): Chinese stocks closed up at their highest level since early March on Friday (June 24), gaining for a fourth straight week, as the country stepped up effort to stimulate a Covid-19-hit economy with the infusion of fresh capital into the banking system to keep liquidity stable. The blue-chip CSI 300 Index rose 1.2% to 4,394.77, while the Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.9% to 3,349.75 points. The Hang Seng Index rose 2.1% to 21,719.06, while the China Enterprises Index gained 2.2% to 7,629.06 points. For the week, the CSI 300 Index rose nearly 2%, while the Hang Seng Index added 3.1%. The People's Bank of China injected 60 billion yuan (US$8.96 billion or about RM39.45 billion) worth of seven-day reverse repos as demand for cash for the end of the first half of the year started to pick up. Choice Market’s new store in Golden Triangle just got a little sweeter. Nearly two years after BusinessDen first reported on it, the local convenience store chain has opened its fourth location on the ground floor of the Parq on Speer apartment building at 909 Bannock St. The 5,000-square-foot space, which opened Feb. 26, also features the fourth location of High Point Creamery, an ice cream shop that already operates in RiNo, Berkeley and Hilltop. “There are around 3,000 units either built or planned in the three-to-four-block radius, and it’s one of the highest-density residential neighborhoods in Denver,” said Choice Market CEO Mike Fogarty. “But it lacks a lot of amenities and services. MailChimp CMO Tom Klein isn't keen on calling it a " marketing campaign" but admits the online store he and his team created isn't really about selling products created by the company's own customers, either. Instead, he says it was an idea intended to walk in the customer's shoes as well as gain understanding and empathy regarding the pain points involved in setting up an e-commerce shop.
