In a late Thursday afternoon public forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the southwest monsoon affecting the western section of Central and Southern Luzon is still causing scattered rains in Kalayaan Islands. But the whole country can expect temperate weather with intermittent rains especially in the latter part of the day, according to Pagasa weather specialist Veronica Torres. “Para sa malaking bahagi ng Luzon ay generally fair weather naman tayo maliban na lamang sa mga thunderstorm na madalas mangyari tuwing hapon at gabi,” she said.
