Teriyaki Madness: Building A Japanese Restaurant Powerhouse Through Franchising

March 27, 2023 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Experts attribute that the fascination with Japanese food in the U.S. started in New York City back in 1964 when wrestler turned restaurateur Hiroake “Rocky” Aoki launched Benihana. Its hibachi steak was prepared right in front of guests on a grill at the table and created quite the stir. In fact, Benihana is still going strong with about 75 eateries in about 25 states. Since then, a slew of Japanese restaurant chains such as Jinya Ramen Bar and Kura Sushi, regaled for its serving sushi on its revolving conveyor belt, have flourished in the U.S. But the Japanese restaurant chain that has been most adept at expanding has been Teriyaki Madness, based in Denver, Co. It has grown due to the power of franchising since 129 of its 130 restaurants are franchised. For example, in 2022 it expanded by 29 locations; every one of which was franchised. Of those 130 locations, 126 of them are based in the U.S., spanning 26 states. … [Read more...] about Teriyaki Madness: Building A Japanese Restaurant Powerhouse Through Franchising

How To Сreate Сontent For A Revenue-Generating Social Media Marketing Strategy

March 27, 2023 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin CEO & Founder @ Refocus , EdTech enthusiast, investor, mentor and marketing expert. Many leaders underestimate how effective a well-developed social media marketing (SMM) strategy can be for generating leads and boosting sales. For us, the direct impact of this type of marketing (excluding paid promotion) for 2022 was almost 10% of our revenue. I've found that the key to a successful SMM strategy is creating high-quality selling content that aligns with your audience's pains and values while also being entertaining enough for people to follow you. Here’s the system my company created to effectively generate leads via social media and keep audiences engaged. 1. Research your customer. Researching your audience is the first step in any business decision, and SMM is no exception. Your content shouldn’t just describe how great your product is—aim to speak your customer's language and tell them what they … [Read more...] about How To Сreate Сontent For A Revenue-Generating Social Media Marketing Strategy

Oatmilk Cream Liqueur Challenges The Category

March 27, 2023 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Kevin Burke and Paul Earle set out to create their own alcohol brand, but they knew that for an unknown brand to work, it had to disrupt a category. “My background is beverage innovation, and I worked for Coca-Cola and Beam Suntory, and Paul is a professor at Northwestern, and the two of us asked where can we disrupt a category or what opportunities are out there?” Burke says. “Two things jumped out at us: the rise of dairy-free milks and cream liqueurs, and we realized that no one’s really tried to re-invent that category.” Thus, Dottie May’s Oatmilk Cream Liqueur was born in fall of 2021. Today, they’ve expanded from a handful of bars and liquor stores in the Chicago area to distribution in the entire state of Illinois, as well as Wisconsin and Colorado, as well as shipping through e-commerce to more than 30 different states, with plans for distribution expansion to more states this year. “Illinois, Wisconsin and … [Read more...] about Oatmilk Cream Liqueur Challenges The Category

Reviving Retail: The Recommerce Revolution Is Helping Cash-Strapped Consumers

March 27, 2023 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin The cost of living crisis continues to challenge UK shoppers, as prices for food essentials like bread, milk and cheese continue to rise. The stark reality of the impact of food price inflation can be seen in the latest figures from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) which tell us that 3 percent of families across the United Kingdom (2.1 million people) used a food bank in the year ending March 2022. In a true north/south divide reality, families in the north of England and Scotland were most likely to interact with a food bank service in the last year. As the appetite for non-essential shopping continues to be suppressed, more consumers are turning to second hand sales platforms and discount retailers as a way to save. UK sales volumes saw a 1.2 percent in February 2023 according to figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS); the most significant increase since October 2022 but nonetheless subdued. … [Read more...] about Reviving Retail: The Recommerce Revolution Is Helping Cash-Strapped Consumers

Sagi Rodin Creates Frontegg Customer Management And Identity Platform For SaaS App Builders

March 27, 2023 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin The arrival of Software as a service or SaaS platforms may have started with Salesforce.com in 1999, but the business model has reached near ubiquity today. Yet the challenge for creating in-house the underlining systems that manage multi-user logins and security for it remains for many SaaS app developers. Sagi Rodin encountered the same challenge while working as a software engineer for the Israeli-based Check Point Software, one of the world’s most innovative and largest security companies. For each new application he worked on, he had to build from scratch the customer identity and access management application (CIAM). So he decided to leave Check Point to solve the problem. Founded in Israel in 2019 by Sagi Rodin, CEO and Aviad Mizrachi, CTO, Frontegg is a platform that supports app builders by covering all aspects of authentication from single-sign on to complex, multi-tenancy authorization, API-token management … [Read more...] about Sagi Rodin Creates Frontegg Customer Management And Identity Platform For SaaS App Builders

The US Restaurant Industry Has Bounded Back from Covid At Every Level From Fast Food To Fine Dining

March 27, 2023 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin The doomsayers who predicted the literal demise of the U.S. restaurant industry after Covid—especially at the fine dining level—proved myopic in the extreme. A new study called the “Agency Forward Restaurant Survey” compiled by Nationwide Insurance, which both insures and advises restaurants on coping with inflation to supply chain issues shows that every segment of the industry has not just survived but in many cases is thriving well past pre-pandemic levels of business. To explain the findings I spoke with Peter McMurtrie, President of Commercial Lines at Nationwide: You say reservations have returned to pre-pandemic levels. Does this apply as much to fast food and chain restaurants (which are mainly walk-in) as with higher end and fine dining? While this research study only focused on fine dining, fast casual and family-style restaurants, recent research as well as our interactions with customers have shown fast food … [Read more...] about The US Restaurant Industry Has Bounded Back from Covid At Every Level From Fast Food To Fine Dining

Does Tapestry’s Stock Have More Room For Growth?

March 27, 2023 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Note: Tapestry’s FY’22 ended on July 2, 2022. After a 42% growth over the last six months, at the current price of around $41 per share, we believe Tapestry (NYSE: TPR) , a luxury goods retailer of handbags, shoes, and accessories under the Coach, Kate Spade, and Stuart Weitzman brands - could see modest growth. TPR stock has increased from around $29 to $41 in the last six months, compared to an 8% rise in the S&P index. The company’s stock has bounced back as of late after the company reported impressive earning results during this period - despite the increase in transportation costs and higher inflationary pressures. Also, Coach has a more significant physical presence in China, which is expected to be the key beneficiary of China’s reopening. China’s luxury market is rapidly recovering from the pandemic with greater strength and resilience. It is expected to reach around $112 billion by 2025, or approximately … [Read more...] about Does Tapestry’s Stock Have More Room For Growth?
