India's largest IT services company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) said it has deployed an integrated solution for India Post that has helped modernise a network of more than 1.5 lakh post offices in the country.In 2013, the Mumbai-based company had announced receiving an over Rs 1,100- crore multi-year contract from the Department of Posts (DoP) for an end-to-end IT modernisation programme.The partnership was aimed at equipping India Post with modern technologies and systems to enable it to offer more services to the customers in an effective manner.Close "At the heart of this transformation is the Core System Integration (CSI) program designed and implemented by TCS. The first iPhone worm is spreading around Australia, changing users’ wallpaper to a picture of ’80s pop star Rick Astley, the mobile version of getting Rickrolled. It’s mostly harmless, but is it a signal that virus makers will soon worm their way into your iPhone? Not if you play by Apple’s rules. The worm only affects jail-broken iPhones–those whose users have set their phones to run unauthorized software such as tethering programs or hacks that allow them to customize settings and download apps from third-party app stores such as Cydia or Rock Your Phone. The BBC reported Monday morning that the worm’s creator, 21-year-old Australian Ashley Towns made the bug to raise the issue of security. It’s relatively easy to quantify the sustainability of commercial buildings thanks to the U.S Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system, which has been giving its seal of approval since 1998. Up until now, landscapes have lacked a similar rating system. The Sustainable Sites Initiative, a so-called “LEED for Landscapes” designed by the American Society of Landscape Architects, Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, and the U.S. Botanic Garden, aims to change that. After 4 years and $2 millon worth of research, the certification is ready for prime time.
