Whether smothered in ketchup or barbecue sauce, served with fries or onion rings, or made of beef or turkey, there’s no end to what you’ll find served on, in, and beside Boston’s most beloved burgers. By Marc Jones LONDON (Reuters) – What a six months for financial markets. Global equities have piled on $8 trillion (6 trillion pounds), bonds are on fire, oil prices have surged by almost a quarter and a Greek bank is one of the world’s best performing stocks. Everything added together it may well be the best first half of a year ever and one that not even the most wily investor would have predicted after the dire end to 2018 and what has happened since. That is challenging the dot.com boom days of 1997 as the best H1 in its near 40-year history. Wall Street is up 18%, Europe 13% and China has jumped 20%, which is a lot of what it lost year even factoring in … [Read more...] about The best first half for financial markets ever
Carlos Monarrez Detroit Free Press Published 7:00 AM EST Feb 25, 2019 Big dudes running the 40-yard dash in underwear! Little dudes trying to bench press the bejesus out of 225 pounds! And, of course, kickers and punters trying to do anything! Yes, it’s finally here. The NFL scouting combine kicks off Tuesday in Indianapolis, when we get to see the future generation of stars take part in the closest thing sports has to a livestock auction. At this point, is there really much need for the combine? With so many other tools available to NFL teams like pro days and private workouts and official player visits, not to mention each team’s massive scouting department and the ability to watch game film from every snap of every player’s career, I'm starting to think NFL teams need a centralized operation to guide their judgment. When was the last time you heard a team say, “We weren’t going to draft this guy. But man, he was off the charts in the … [Read more...] about 2019 NFL combine predictions: How tall is Kyler Murray?
