Coach Ghicka Bernabe ‘confused’ over judging system as NU Pep Squad gets bronze
NU Pep Squad during the UAAP Season 84 Cheerdance Competition. UAAP PHOTO MANILA, Philippines — National University PEP squad coach Ghicka Bernabe stressed she is not questioning their third place finish that ended its two-season reign, but she couldn’t stop wondering about the change in the judging system of the 2022 UAAP Cheerdance Competition. Long regarded as the standard of the midseason extravaganza after winning six of the last seven seasons with its fast-paced stunts, the NU PEP Squad failed to complete its “three-peat” and settled for bronze on Sunday at Mall of Asia Arena. But for the multi-titled coach, her team did well. “I think my team did really well. If there’s a wobble in the segment of our stunts, I don’t think it will affect the routine entirely. I’m just being honest. Being in this industry for how many years, I don’t want to question the results but I believe my team did well,” Bernabe lamented. The NU PEP Squad scored 681 points with six-point penalty … [Read more...] about Coach Ghicka Bernabe ‘confused’ over judging system as NU Pep Squad gets bronze

Kiefer Ravena during Gilas Pilipinas’ game vs Indonesia where the Philippines lost the gold. SEA GAMES POOL MANILA, Philippines—Despite missing out on a gold medal, Kiefer Ravena remained grateful to have represented the Philippines again in the Southeast Asian Games. Ravena held his head high even after Gilas Pilipinas’ shocking 85-81 loss to Indonesia on Saturday at Thanh Tri Stadium in Hanoi, Vietnam. SEA Games: Chot Reyes takes blame for Gilas’ failed gold medal bid
Gilas Pilipinas coach Chot Reyes in the 31st SEA Games. SEA GAMES POOL MANILA, Philippines—Gilas Pilipinas head coach Chot Reyes took the fall for the national team’s botched gold medal bid in the 31st Southeast Asian Games in Hanoi, Vietnam on Sunday. The Philippines, deemed as an immovable dynasty in the region, was knocked off its lofty perch by an emerging Indonesian side, 85-81. “Our players played their best,” said Reyes, who was tapped to replace Tab Baldwin in an unexpected shakeup last February. “Indonesia came with a very good game plan. They shot well from the three-point line. In the end, we just couldn’t match it.” “Obviously that’s on me. I take full accountability and responsibility for the result. Like I said, they tried their best and that’s sports. That’s life. Sometimes, things don’t work out the way we played,” he added. PBA stars Matthew Wright and June Mar Fajardo led the way with 23 and 20 points, respectively but Gilas’ offensive woes coupled … [Read more...] about SEA Games: Chot Reyes takes blame for Gilas’ failed gold medal bid
GoPro HERO 10 Is A Sleek Modern-Day Handycam
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Since our kids have grown up, I admittedly don’t take a lot of video anymore. Mostly because my wife and I can be only so entertaining on camera by ourselves. So any video I capture these days is an on-the-spot thought and through the lens of my smartphone. The quality is acceptable but really flat. Yet there are always things I see that I want to capture. And for the past few years – instead of photographing something directly – I’ve often taken video instead and then gone through frame-by-frame to pick the best image to use as a photo. But the quality is often degraded, when I do that. Not anymore. I’ve gotten hold of the GoPro HERO10 Black Creator Edition – billed as an all-in-one content capturing powerhouse that makes vlogging, filmmaking and live streaming easier than ever. This system features pro-quality 5.3K video, Emmy award-winning HyperSmooth 4.0 video stabilization, enhanced audio, LED lighting and four hours … [Read more...] about GoPro HERO 10 Is A Sleek Modern-Day Handycam
