Fort Worth mom sentenced to 2 years in jail after boyfriend beats toddler to death
Adrian Langlais also had bite marks on his body when he was brought to a hospital on his second birthday and showed signs of seizure, police said.Christian Michael Tyrrell, 26, was sentenced in 2017 to life in prison for fatally slamming Adrian against a wall.Tyrrell originally told police that Adrian had fallen from his playpen but seemed better the next day, according to his arrest warrant affidavit. Searches about head injuries to children were made on his phone about 14 hours before the couple called 911.A friend of the family had reported Adrian's bruises and changed behavior to Child Protective Services shortly after Tyrrell began dating Langlais, but CPS ruled out any abuse by either Langlais or Tyrrell.Langlais faced life in prison without parole if convicted of capital murder. Instead, jurors found her guilty of the lesser charge of criminal abandonment of a child and sentenced her to the maximum time in jail for that conviction. Fort Worth man gets 33 years in prison for sexually assaulting woman
Bryon Troy Wells, 48, displayed a weapon when he raped a woman in February 2017, according to court records.An indictment filed in March 2017 accused Wells of kidnapping a woman, threatening to shoot her, holding a knife to a throat and sexually assaulting her multiple times with several objects.The court sentenced him to 18 years for the first sexual assault count, 10 years for the second and five years for the third.Wells has previously served time in Tarrant County for assault and driving while intoxicated. … [Read more...] about Fort Worth man gets 33 years in prison for sexually assaulting woman
