Three law enforcement officers were injured Wednesday during a high-speed chase to capture a homicide suspect on I-95, according to reports. The suspect remained at large in South Philadelphia shortly after noon, according to NBC10. The Philadelphia Police Department tweeted this photo of the homicide suspect at 12:21 p.m. and said he is armed and dangerous. Two members of the Wilmington Police Department and one Pennsylvania State Police trooper were hurt in a crash that occurred on the highway near Philadelphia International Airport. A chase began in Delaware but later crossed into Pennsylvania, bringing state police into the pursuit until cruisers from both agencies reportedly collided in the northbound lanes. Philadelphia police tweeted that I-95 North was closed at Exit 13 as a result. In South Philadelphia, a SEPTA bus also was struck by the suspect’s vehicle around Oregon Avenue and Broad Street. Officials said the injuries to the officers were non-life-threatening. Check back for updates on this developing story.
