MANILA — An unruly crowd caused “some” minor injuries and forced the rescheduling of a concert in the capital, show organizer Coca-Cola Philippines said Saturday. There was “pushing, jumping on the barricades and throwing bottles” by “portions” of some 15,000 spectators that threatened the safety of the entire crowd at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds in Pasay City, Friday, Coca-Cola said in a statement. Coca-Cola did not elaborate on the scope of the injuries, except that the victims were given medical attention. “The safety of everyone is of utmost importance to us,” Coca-Cola said, adding the Coke Studio Christmas Concert would be rescheduled. Coca-Cola has been tapping local and foreign artists to participate in its Coke Studios project that aims to celebrate the growing diversity in music.
