Train services running between Ipswich and Lowestoft have been hit after fallen trees blocked the track. Problems on the line between Wickham Market and Saxmundham this afternoon had meant that Greater Anglia train services running through Wickham Market were “cancelled, delayed or revised.” The 5.07pm and 6.07pm Lowestoft to Ipswich services were cancelled while the 6.17pm Ipswich to Lowestoft train was due to start at Saxmundham. But after Network Rail engineers moved the tree from the line, a Greater Anglia spokesman said: “all lines have now reopened.” The spokesman added: “Train services running through this station (Wickham Market) are returning to normal but some services may still be cancelled, delayed or suspended. Disruption is expected until 7pm.” They said that a limited bus service will be running.
