Patricio Medina, 27, was found guilty of all five charges against him Wednesday: one count of aggravated sexual assault of a child younger than 6, two counts of injury to a child and two counts of endangering a child. The baby suffered from facial bruising and 48 fractures — including at least one break to each of her ribs — at stages of healing that indicated she’d been abused throughout her 38 days of life, the Waco Tribune reported. She has since been adopted. The infant’s mother, Lisa Montoya, was charged with endangerment of a child. Medina, jailed after the March 2014 incident, told another inmate he’d gotten high while Montoya left the house, and that the meth made the baby’s cries sound like a woman’s moans to him, according to the Tribune.
