Associated Press Published 6:55 p.m. UTC Sep 3, 2018 San Bernardino, Calif. – Police in California say eight people were shot and wounded at an apartment complex during a dice game. San Bernardino police spokeswoman Sadie Albers said officers arrived at a chaotic scene Sunday night and initially thought 10 people had been wounded. The victims were seven adults and a 17-year-old. Albers said the 17-year-old and one adult were critically wounded. The six other victims had wounds that were not life-threatening and were expected to survive. Albers said the victims are not cooperating with investigators, so little is known about the shooting. She said evidence at the scene shows that multiple firearms were used. Police have said there is gang activity in the area, but it’s too early in the investigation to attribute the shooting to a gang rivalry.
