Duplain (6-4, 295 pounds) chose the Spartans over his other finalists, Boston College and Indiana. “This has been an amazing process and I would like to thank my family, friends and coaches for helping me and being with me throughout it all,” Duplain wrote on Twitter. “I am very excited to announce that I will be furthering my academic and athletic career at Michigan State University!” More: Top story lines as Michigan State opens football practice Duplain is ranked the No. 37 player nationally and the No. 37 player overall in Ohio for 2019 according to the 247Sports Composite. “The best thing about Michigan State is the coaching staff, and they are a veteran staff,” Duplain told Bill Greene of 247Sports. “They really know how to win and they develop their players well. They see me as an offensive lineman, but that I could play defense also.” MSU has 16 commitments in its 2019 recruiting class.
